You can change many aspects of your entry by logging into your Race Roster dashboard:
– Some personal details (email, phone, address, emergency contacts)
– Race entry details – Entry time, T Shirt size, Fun Facts etc
– Transfer to the Virtual Event (e.g. if you can’t make it to Lorne on the day)
– Transfer from the Virtual Event to the actual Event (if entries have not closed)
In 2027 formal Transfers will be permitted if a competitor wishes to transfer their entry to another person (friends / families), while entries are open. A $15 transfer fee is payable by the new competitor, plus any price difference (eg if after the early bird period).
Before you initiate a formal Transfer, we recommend you switch your entry to the Virtual Event using the Changes button link above. This way you still get the T-shirt (mailed) and your Swim / Run counts to your Shark Bait / Mountain Goat tally.
Formal transfers can be actioned via the original Competitor’s own Race Roster dashboard. The original Competitor must have the email address of the new competitor to commence the transfer process.
Refunds for any reasons are available until 15th December. Refunds after 15th December are only available in exceptional circumstances. A $15 administrative fee will be charged for refunds.
Before you request a refund, we recommend you switch your entry to the Virtual Event using the Changes button link above. This way you still get the T-shirt (mailed) and your Swim / Run counts to your Shark Bait / Mountain Goat tally.
Contact our Race Administrator if you would like a refund or need help with a change, formal Transfer or Virtual entry.
Note: you CANNOT do an ‘informal transfer’ by just giving your entry number to another person (not via Race Roster) – you and they will be disqualified for competing under another person’s name, and possibly banned for a number of years.
If the Powercor Lorne Pier to Pub or Mountain to Surf reach capacity before the final registration date we will start our waitlist process. If the in-person event is full you can still enter the Virtual Swim and Virtual Run to get a T Shirt and add to your Shark Bait and Mountain Goat tally – enter here: Virtual Swim on Race Roster. If you are at the top of the Waitlist we will contact you, transfer you into the Event and request payment. Your spot will be confirmed upon payment.
This is the only way to get a start after we close entries. DO NOT accept or pay for an entry any other way – Facebook scams and the like have started to appear so please do not fall for such things!
You also CANNOT accept an ‘informal transferred’ entry from a friend / family member – you will be disqualified if you compete under another person’s name (and have not agreed to the Event Terms and Conditions etc).
If we have to cancel an Event (e.g. due to bushfire, adverse weather conditions), unfortunately we cannot reschedule due to clashes with other events and the sheer scale and complexity involved. This is common to all similar major events.
Instead, we will switch all entries to the relevant Virtual Event and communicate instructions (most likely by email). This will enable everyone to still receive their Event T-shirt (mailed, if registration has not taken place), and have their Virtual Swim / Run count to their Shark Bait / Mountain Goat tally.
