Silver Camp provides Bronze Medallion holders to take the next step forward within the club. This camp focuses in on specific advanced first aid and inflatable rescue boat skills. The camp also aims to begin the pathway into becoming a leader within the club. This is a great live-in week at the club, and we encourage all those wishing to participate to apply! The camp includes many leadership, team building, water and land based activities throughout the week!
Candidates that attend Silver Camp will receive 2 nationally recognised awards and 1 SLSA recognised award. These are:
- Advanced Resuscitation Techniques
- First Aid
- Inflatable Rescue Boat Crew

Applications for the 2024 Bronze Medallion Camp and Silver Medallion Camp for the upcoming 2024/25 season are opening on the 03/08/24 and will be closing 5:00 pm AEST on the 12th of October!

Note: Both camps have a course fee of approximately $550 – which includes accommodation, cleaning, food, learning material, stationary, camp t-shirt & course processing fee.

What we ask of you
Remember, we’re a volunteer organisation and need volunteers like you to operate. These are the minimum compulsory requirements post-Bronze Camp:
– Attend door knock on January 1st
– Help on Mountain to Surf Day
– Help on Pier to Pub Day
– Attend five rostered patrol days throughout the season
– Attend Skills Maintenance half day at the start of the next season to refresh your skills

After completing the expression of interest above, the Training and Assessment team will communicate instructions to those successful on how to apply through LSV’s Website.
