Bronze Camp is not only the perfect way to become a fully qualified Surf Life Saver, but it’s also a great way to meet new friends.  The week long live-in camp held in December is a fun, challenging way to experience an introduction to Surf Life Saving.  It is open for applicants aged 15 years and over and is instructed by fellow Lorne Surf lifesavers and members.

Lorne SLSC Bronze Camp is run in a partial “boot camp” style, creating a safe yet challenging environment, whilst still including all the fun activities of a camp – such as water activities, beach games, movie nights, sports, adventure activities, team building and so much more!

The Bronze Medallion has been run for the past 100 years in Australia and aims to develops knowledge, judgement and skills in rescue, personal survival and emergency care and is awarded in recognition of the ability to perform aquatic rescues in a safe and efficient manner. The Bronze Medallion will test the candidate’s knowledge, fitness, skills and judgement. This award is highly sought after by employers nationwide.
