SRC Program (Cadets)
The SRC program (Cadets) will run again this year for 13 or 14 year olds who are in under 14s and wish to gain their Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC). This is the first stage of becoming a lifesaver. To obtain their certificate, the candidates attend the course, which usually starts on the same day as Nippers and concludes around a week and a half later. Dates are yet to be confirmed. Candidates will be taught and assessed on performing rescues, identifying dangers, resuscitation, basic emergency care and supervision skills. It is also a great opportunity for Cadets to meet others their age and experience the many aspects of life saving including patrols, competition and training in a safe and supportive environment.
To complete the Surf Rescue Certificate participants must be at able to complete a 200m swim in 5 minutes or less.
Please register as an Under 14 Nipper here
